-=={ QUEEN'S GREATEST HITS II }==- Wilkommen to the second Queen compendium I'm posting. Yes, more from England's finest rock group. This contains all the rest of the General MIDI Queen files I have lurking in my possession which sort of conforms to Greatest Hits II plus a few more from later albums. All files in General MIDI format (Drums channel 10, embedded program changes etc.) Arranged, tweaked, named, edited and sequenced (where necessary) on an Atari ST 2.5Mb FM running Cubase v2.0 via a Yam SY22, Casio CZ1000, DD5 drum pads, and output thru a Sound Canvas SC55. They are: ALLGODP - All God's People; Nice gospel piano BIJOU - Bijou; Lovely echoey guitar even if I do say so myself BREAKTHR - Breakthru; Wahey! Lovely panned guitars CANTLIVE - I Can't Live With You; Sad attempt at 'wall of guitar sound'. Well I tried DAYSOFLF - Days Of Our Lives; Sad sad sad DONTRYSH - Don't Try So Hard FRNDWILL - Friends Will Be Friends GOINGMAD - I'm Going Slightly Mad; Cracking vocal noises HARDLIFE - It's A Hard Life HEADLONG - Headlong; Hmmmm... Guitar sound hard to get INNUENDO - Innuedno; in it's entirety. Acoustic bit sounds great on the old canvas. Crank it up. INVISIBL - Invisible Man; 2 drum parts on this one - standard kit on channel 10 and TR808 on channel 9 MIRACLE - The Miracle; end bit a bit tricky but sort of works ONEVISN - One Vision; Hmmmm again.. Well you try doing those intro sound FX on Canvas RADIOGAG - Radio GaGa; the best by far. Sexy bass sound SHOWMUST - Show Must Go On; another lil cracker WHOWANTS - Who Wants To Live Forever?; who indeed So there you have them. Play, manipulate, listen. Don't even think of playing these thru anything less than a 24 polyphonic General MIDI sound system with an extremely loud amplifier. All you 8-bit soundcard freaks can just get another job and save up coz if you play these thru such a device, I'll be round with my mates. So there. Crank up that volume, annoy those neighbours, get out that tennis racket, and air guitar 'til the cows come home (or until that final Queen album is released, whichever is sooner). More files to follow from various sources as I expunge my ever expanding MIDI files onto the net before I have to leave uni and get a proper job. Already posted - queen1.zip, beatles.zip, jacko.zip, madonna.zip, tv&film.zip, nowmidi1.zip, thecars.zip, depmod1.zip, this_day,zip, philcoll.zip Thanx for all the mail received so far from you all; I try to reply when possible. If you are so tempted, try zchag05@ucl.ac.uk This address should be valid for years to come despite what I'd posted on earlier MIDI stuff, so keep that mail just flooding in. If you can't be bothered to write, well more fool you; keep watching telly and voting Conservative\Republican where appropriate. That'll make the world a better place :) Enjoy Alexi
